HCMC – Police in HCMC have detained Trinh Tien Dung, the truck driver who caused a eight-vehicle collision on the cable-stayed Phu My Bridge in Thu Duc City last week, for allegedly violating road traffic regulations.
Police said on August 15 that they also filed charges against him.
The arrest came after Dung caused the accident on Phu My Bridge in District 7, which resulted in major property damage, three people injured, and prolonged traffic congestion on August 8.
Among the vehicles involved, two container trucks and six cars were damaged, with three of the cars catching fire.
