HCMC – Tien Bo Group (TTB), which trades its stock on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange, has announced it sold 50 million shares via a private placement on March 3 and earned some VND500 billion.
These TTB shares were issued to nine investors which are local firms and individuals, the local media reported.
The group reported over VND1.3 trillion in revenue in 2021, up 170%, but saw its net profit down 41% at VND7 billion.
Closing the trading session today, March 7, TTB inched down 0.44% against the session earlier.
In another development, Hapaco Corporation (HAP) has sold over 55 million shares worth more than VND550 billion. As many as 2,650 existing shareholders of the firm and five individual investors purchased the shares between January 28 and February 28.
The share sale helped double the firm’s chartered capital to VND1.1 trillion.
The southern bourse saw 207 stocks gain steam and 256 others lose ground. The VN-Index closed the session today down 6.28 points, or 0.42%, from the previous session, at 1,499.05, dragged by the poor performance of many largecaps.
Trade volume totaled some 982 million shares worth over VND31.4 trillion, up 5.7% in volume and 6.3% in value, against the session earlier.
In the VN30 basket, as many as 22 stocks were in negative territory, with lenders TPB and ACB dipping by 4.3% and 3.1%, respectively.
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, winners outnumbered losers by 159 to 91. The HNX-Index gained 2.28 points, or 0.51%, from the session earlier, at 452.86.
