HCMC – HCMC and neighboring Binh Duong Province will spend more than VND5 trillion widening two roads connecting the two sides.
A representative of the Binh Duong government said today, March 22, that the province was working with HCMC to implement the two road projects.
One of the two roads connects the Song Than intersection in Di An City, Binh Duong Province and Pham Van Dong Boulevard in Thu Duc City, HCMC. The widening of this 1.2-km road would cost over VND3.8 trillion, with VND2.4 trillion for site clearance and compensation. The project is expected to affect 144 households.
The other project is the 1.36-km An Binh Road, with 1.08 km of it in Binh Duong and the rest in HCMC. The project will require VND1.7 trillion and affect 170 households.
After the upgrade, the two roads would facilitate goods transport and commutes, and ease traffic congestion, the local media reported.
Binh Duong has over 7,420 kilometers of roads, including three national highways, and 14 provincial roads with a total length of 449 kilometers.
