Fishing has long been an integral part of life for coastal residents in Vietnam’s central region. Among traditional practices, net trawling stands out as a reflection of community solidarity and the rich maritime culture of local fishermen. Each time they haul in the nets, fishermen not only harvest marine resources but also embody a deep connection to their homeland.
With every catch, they gather fish and shrimp while also strengthening social bonds—demonstrating both the pressures of earning a livelihood and the patience and resilience required by the trade.
In particular, the early morning ritual of net trawling in the central coastal city of Danang has become a captivating experience for visitors, offering a glimpse into the daily rhythm of local fishing communities.
