HCMC – The U.S. dollar has edged up against the Vietnamese dong currency on October 3, said local media reports.
The State Bank of Vietnam on October 3 quoted the central reference forex rate at VND24,115 per dollar, up by VND21 compared to yesterday.
Within a trading band of 5% on either side of the reference rate, Vietcombank raised its dollar price to VND24,490 for buying and VND24,860 for selling, up by VND40 compared to the previous day.
However, at BIDV, the exchange rate is respectively capped at VND24,500 and VND24,840, down by VND5 versus yesterday.
Eximbank raised its buying price to VND24,500, and its selling rate to VND24,870, a drop of VND30 against yesterday.
