HCMC – Work on the Van Ninh-Cam Lo Expressway is being sped up to ensure completion by June 30, said the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board, the investor of the project.

The board said that the project is nearly 90% complete but still faces challenges related to site clearance for access roads and the relocation of infrastructure, reported the Vietnam News Agency.

Contractors are currently focusing on completing key works along the main expressway, including the installation of roadside barriers, concrete medians, lane markings, and access roads to and from the expressway.

In particular, the project investor and contractors are expediting the construction of three overpasses in Quang Tri Province on National Highway 9A and Tam Hiep in Cam Lo District, and on National Highway 9D in Vinh Linh District.

The project, which began construction on January 1, 2023, has a total investment of over VND9.9 trillion and a length of 65.5 kilometers, with 33 kilometers of it in Quang Binh Province and 32.5 kilometers in Quang Tri Province.
