HCMC – Vietjet will expand its fleet by adding 10 new-generation aircraft in the final months of this year to meet growing development needs and passenger demand.
Despite the global aircraft shortage affecting the aviation industry, Vietjet will have 10 more aircraft by the end of the year, which are expected to start arriving this month. Most of them are the latest A321neo ACF (Airbus Cabin Flex) models from Airbus.
In 2019, Vietjet became the first airline in the world to operate A321neo ACF aircraft.
The addition of these 10 aircraft will enable Vietjet to expand its flight network both domestically and internationally. The airline plans to launch new routes to international destinations such as Australia, India, China, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Laos, and Cambodia.
In the first half of this year, Vietjet operated a total of 70,154 flights, carrying around 13.1 million passengers.
