As part of his official visit to Bulgaria, Party General Secretary To Lam co-chaired a joint press briefing with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev at the Presidential Palace in Sofia at noon on October 23 (local time) to announce the outcomes of their talks.

President Radev said the two nations had made an important new stride in their bilateral ties by upgrading them to a strategic partnership. This achievement reflects the tireless efforts of both countries over decades, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of their diplomatic ties this year, he added.

Radev said that he and General Secretary To Lam had reviewed the overall state of bilateral cooperation, expressing satisfaction with the results achieved so far, which lay a solid foundation for the future of their partnership.
