HCMC – Vietnam’s domestic coffee prices have dropped sharply over the past week, with each kilogram selling for VND93,600–95,000, down VND5,000–6,000 from a week earlier, amid profit-taking on futures markets and improved supply prospects.

In Lam Dong Province, prices in Di Linh, Lam Ha and Bao Loc were quoted at VND93,600 per kilogram and up to VND95,000 per kilogram in Dak Nong. Prices reached VND94,700–94,800 in Dak Lak Province, and around VND94,500–94,600 in Gia Lai Province.

According to the Vietnam Coffee Cocoa Association (Vicofa), Vietnam exported more than 224,000 tons of coffee in January 2026, earning nearly US$1.1 billion, up 53% in volume and 40% in value year-on-year.

On the global market, March Arabica futures fell over 10% from the previous week to US$6,537 per ton, the lowest level in six months, while March Robusta plunged 8.7% to US$3,755 per ton. Mercantile Exchange Of VietNam (MXV) attributed the decline to funds cutting net long positions amid positive supply signals.

Domestically, export buying continued but volumes remained limited as sellers held back amid falling prices. Coffee bean prices in the local market adjusted to VND93,000–95,000 per kilogram, down more than VND7,000 from a week earlier.
