HCMC – The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) today lowered the reference exchange rate between the Vietnamese dong and the U.S. dollar by VND29 from the previous day to VND24,240.
This decline was also mirrored in the rates offered by commercial banks. Given the permissible trading band of 5% on either side of the SBV-set rate, the ceiling rate is now VND25,452 to the dollar and the floor rate is VND23,028.
Specifically, at BIDV, the greenback is currently traded at VND25,152 for buying and VND25,452 for selling, down by VND30 in both rates compared to yesterday. Similarly, Vietcombank’s rates stand at VND25,192 and VND25,482, respectively, decreasing by VND30 from the day before.
