Vietnam has no new Covid-19 cases

HCMC – The Ministry of Health has reported no fresh Covid-19 patients this morning, February 27, keeping Vietnam’s coronavirus infections unchanged at 2,426 as of now.

The country has confirmed 1,524 locally-transmitted cases to date, with 831 recorded since January 27 in 13 provinces and cities across the country. Among these localities, Hai Duong reported the highest number of cases at 643 and is now the biggest coronavirus hotspot in Vietnam.

Yesterday evening, 27 coronavirus patients who had received treatment at the Field Hospital No.2 at the Hai Duong Medical Technical University in Hai Duong were declared free of the virus and were discharged, raising the number of recovered patients in this northern province to 259.

Overall, the nation’s recoveries have amounted to 1,839 cases while 35 other patients have died of the respiratory disease.

Further, over 76,400 people linked to coronavirus patients or returning to Vietnam from virus-hit regions are being quarantined.
