HCMC – The Vietnam-Korea Partnership Plus Week 2024 has got started in HCMC to enhance bilateral economic, trade and industrial cooperation.

The weeklong event was launched on July 16 by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), under the South Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy (MOTIE), in collaboration with other organizations.

Focusing on smart and eco-friendly industries, the event emphasizes sectors such as energy and environment, healthcare, and smart agriculture. It aims to establish a solid foundation for economic cooperation between Vietnam and South Korea.

The week features a series of activities, including a Vietnam-South Korea Cooperation Forum on smart industries, B2B trade connections with South Korean firms, a conference on prospective ODA and PPP projects in the southern region, and the 2024 Korea Shopping Fair.

The trade connection activity is expected to attract participation from over 70 South Korean firms and 150 Vietnamese businesses. The conference will introduce multiple ODA and PPP projects in the southern region, involving six project investors from state agencies and organizations based in HCMC and southern provinces.

The event promises to gather around 40 South Korean companies, including major names like Dohwa Engineering, Hyundai E&C, Kumho E&C, Posco E&C, Samsung (Samsung SDS, Samsung E&A), and Taihan Cable & Solution.

The Korea Shopping Fair 2024, taking place from July 17-21 at Estella Place Shopping Center, will showcase a wide range of high-quality goods, such as food, cosmetics, health, and beauty products from 40 South Korean manufacturers.
