HCMC – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will be participating in the 43rd ASEAN Summit and associated meetings in Indonesia next week, at the invitation of Indonesian President Joko Widodo.
In a recent announcement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that PM Chinh will lead a prominent delegation to Jakarta, Indonesia, from September 4 to 7 for the ASEAN Summit.
The 43rd ASEAN Summit will encompass high-level discussions among ASEAN leaders, dialogues between ASEAN leaders and each partner of the alliance, as well as the East Asia Summit (EAS).
Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi revealed that the event will witness the presence of leaders from 22 countries and various international organizations.
Key focal points of the 43rd ASEAN Summit will revolve around four central pillars: upholding ASEAN’s enduring vision, enhancing the region’s resilience to confront challenges, boosting ASEAN’s role as an economic growth hub, and contributing to peace and security in the Indo-Pacific region.
