HCMC – Vietnam Railways will operate seven additional trains on the Hanoi–Haiphong route from August 30 to September 2 to meet higher travel demand during the National Day holiday.
The route usually runs four pairs of trains daily. On August 30, train LP9 will depart Hanoi Station at 7:15 a.m. On August 31, an extra LP9 will leave Long Bien Station at 7:26 a.m., and train LP10 will depart Haiphong Station for Hanoi at 4:20 p.m.
On September 1, train LP9 will leave Long Bien Station at 7:26 a.m., while LP10 will run from Haiphong to Gia Lam at 4:20 p.m. On September 2, LP9 will depart Gia Lam Station at 7:43 a.m., and LP10 will return to Hanoi from Haiphong at 4:20 p.m.
Vietnam Railways has also added 51 extra trips on other routes nationwide for the holiday. Authorities said road closures in Hanoi for the 80th National Day celebrations could affect access to Hanoi Station.
Passengers are advised to arrive at least 60 minutes before departure. An additional entrance at Gate 1 on Tran Quy Cap Street will be open to ease congestion.
