HCMC – The Ministry of Health this evening, April 7, confirmed 45,886 fresh cases of Covid in all 63 localities across Vietnam, with 45,884 being domestic infections, falling 3,240 cases against the previous day.
Hanoi saw the most infections, at 3,635, followed by Bac Giang with 2,267 cases. Phu Tho and Yen Bai each reported over 2,100 cases. The remaining localities recorded less than 2,000 cases each.
In the day, the health authorities of Ba Ria-Vung Tau and Gia Lai registered to add 44,342 cases detected previously to the national Covid monitoring system.
The ministry also reported 21 more Covid deaths, sending the country’s total fatalities linked to the coronavirus to 42,733 cases.
Since the pandemic broke out, the country has reported more than 10 million cases, with over 8.3 million recoveries, including the latest 117,503 recoveries announced today.
In related news, non-essential services including karaoke lounges, massage parlors, bars, game and internet shops in Hanoi were allowed to reopen starting tomorrow, April 8, but must practice anti-Covid measures as required by the authorities.
Customers developing the symptoms of coughing, fever, shortness of breath, and loss of taste should not use these services. They need to visit healthcare centers for anti-Covid guidelines.
