HCMC – Vietnamese airlines recorded an overall on-time performance (OTP) of 74.2% in the first nine months of this year, according to data from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV).
Of the 194,000 flights operated during this period, a quarter were delayed, with late aircraft arrivals accounting for 15.3% of disruptions, reported the Vietnam News Agency.
National carrier Vietnam Airlines led in OTP, achieving 83% across its 83,552 flights, followed closely by Bamboo Airways with an 82.8% punctuality rate for 13,064 flights.
In September, domestic airlines operated 17,720 flights with a 76.6% OTP, while 23.4% of flights were delayed, and 106 flights were canceled.
The CAAV also highlighted a recovery in international travel, with 61 international and five Vietnamese carriers now operating 147 routes to 28 destinations.
