HCMC – Domestic airlines are scheduled to operate 7,536 flights during the April 30–May 1 holiday, with a daily average of 685 flights, a 24% increase in total flights and a 21% rise in frequency.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) said that Vietnamese carriers have taken proactive measures to meet rising travel demand during the upcoming holidays, including adding aircraft and increasing flight frequencies, particularly on domestic routes.

Total seat capacity during the period is expected to reach around 1.5 million, up by 20% compared to regular schedules and 22% versus the same period last year.

Flights to and from HCMC will make up a large portion of the holiday schedule, with 5,083 flights planned—averaging 462 per day—up by 21% in both flight count and frequency.

On the Hanoi–HCMC route, domestic carriers are set to operate 1,261 flights, up by 8% in volume and 16% in frequency.

During the 2025 summer peak season, from May 15 to August 15, Vietnamese airlines are expected to operate 68,558 domestic flights, an average of 745 flights per day, offering nearly 14 million seats, up by 18% compared to summer 2024.

The Hanoi–Danang–HCMC routes are projected to see 26,800 flights with nearly 5.9 million seats. Meanwhile, airlines are set to operate 45,000 flights to and from HCMC during the period.
