HCMC – Vietnamese businesses are leveraging THAIFEX-HoReCa Asia 2025, the region’s largest HoReCa trade show, to strengthen their market presence. The event serves as a key platform to boost brand visibility, engage directly with customers, and establish strategic partnerships.

THAIFEX-HoReCa Asia 2025 has attracted 19,454 unique trade attendees, with strong representation from top international markets, including the Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore, and China. This year’s edition enjoys a 23% rise in unique trade attendees and a 30% increase in exhibitors, reflecting the sector’s growing interest in the event.

Under the theme “Shaping the Future of HoReCa,” the trade show highlighted global trends in sustainability and digital innovation, featuring an extensive showcase of eco-friendly solutions and cutting-edge technologies.

“THAIFEX-HoReCa Asia provides a valuable platform for Vietnam, allowing us to connect with new partners and suppliers while staying updated on the latest technology and equipment,” said Nguyen Duc Quynh, chairman of the Danang Hotel Association and CEO of MENAS Vietnam. “Through this year’s hosted buyers program, we have engaged in multiple meetings and secured deals worth nearly US$5 million in chinaware and supermarket equipment, such as chillers and refrigerators, to support our expansion.”

Luong Thanh Nam, CEO of VietSolutions Group—Vietnam’s first total hotel solutions company—emphasized the significant business potential at the event. “The opportunities for cooperation and trade between the Vietnamese delegation and international suppliers at THAIFEX-HoReCa Asia are enormous. This event plays a vital role in fostering growth for Vietnam’s tourism and hospitality industry,” he noted.

He added, “Beyond the opportunities for cooperation and trade with suppliers here, the exhibition offers visitors valuable insights into the future of the Asian hotel industry through seminars, forums, and emerging technology trends. This event fosters international collaboration between Vietnam’s tourism sector and that of Thailand and other Asian countries. Through THAIFEX-HoReCa Asia, VietSolutions Group has successfully facilitated the Vietnam Hotel Association’s participation as an official member of the Southeast Asian Hotel Association.”

In an interview with the media, Sunanta Kangvalkulkij, director general of the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) under Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce, highlighted that Thailand and Vietnam share many similarities in the HoReCa sector, providing a strong foundation for enhanced bilateral cooperation.

She noted that both countries are involved in multiple joint projects, with the Thai Trade Center in Vietnam playing a key role in connecting and supporting businesses from both sides to expand their operations.

Notable examples of cooperation include the expansion of Thai shopping mall networks in Vietnam, such as Central Vietnam, the organization of food festivals and trade promotion events in the HoReCa sector, and the deployment of two-way trade delegations. These initiatives not only help businesses access new markets but also create opportunities for knowledge exchange, technology transfer, and improved competitiveness.

As regional economic integration deepens, strengthened collaboration between Vietnam, Thailand, and ASEAN countries will be crucial in driving economic growth. The two nations benefit from geographic proximity and share similarities in consumer culture, culinary preferences, and business models in the HoReCa industry.

“Given these shared strengths, I firmly believe that Vietnam and Thailand can fully leverage their advantages to advance the HoReCa sector, expand trade cooperation, and unlock numerous new opportunities for businesses in this dynamic industry,” she affirmed.
