HCMC – With the majority of the deputies voting in favor, the National Assembly (NA) passed a resolution this afternoon, February 18, electing Vu Hong Thanh and Le Minh Hoan as vice chairmen of the 15th-tenure NA.
With this resolution, the current 15th National Assembly leadership is now comprised of Chairman Tran Thanh Man and six vice chairs.
The six vice chairpersons are Nguyen Duc Hai, Nguyen Khac Dinh, Tran Quang Phuong, Nguyen Thi Thanh, Le Minh Hoan, and Vu Hong Thanh.
Vu Hong Thanh, 63 years old, was born in Minh Tan Commune, Nam Sach District, Hai Duong Province.
He is a member of the 12th and 13th Party Central Committee and a deputy of the 14th and 15th NA. Thanh has served as chairman of the NA Economic Committee since July 2016.
Le Minh Hoan, 64 years old, was born in Dong Thap Province.
He is a member of the 12th and 13th Party Central Committee and a deputy of the 11th, 13th, 14th, and 15th National Assembly.
