Viettel Construction to pay 27.2% cash dividend for 2023

HCMC – Viettel Construction, whose CTR shares are traded on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange, has announced to pay a 27.2% cash dividend for 2023.

CTR shareholders will receive VND2,720 for every share held. The list of shareholders eligible for the dividend could be finalized on September 30, with payment scheduled for October 18.

With over 114 million outstanding shares, Viettel Construction will spend an estimated VND310 billion plus on this dividend payment. Of that, Viettel Group, which holds 65.66% of CTR’s capital, will receive more than VND204 billion.

Regarding its business performance, the firm generated VND7,935 billion in revenue between January and August this year, up by 11% against the same period last year. Its pre-tax profit edged up by 4% year-on-year to VND422.7 billion.

In 2024, Viettel Construction looks to book VND12,653 billion in revenue and VND671.4 billion in pre-tax profit. With the performance in the January-August period, the company has achieved 63% of its annual targets.

Closing the trading session today, September 18, CTR climbed to its ceiling price of VND133,300, with more than 1.1 million shares changing hands.

On the southern bourse, the VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange added 5.95 points, or 0.47%, against the day earlier, to close at 1,264.9 points, with 231 winners and 85 losers.

Around 799.8 million shares worth VND18.5 trillion were traded on bourse, up by 26.5% in volume and 37% in value against yesterday’s session. Block deal transactions contributed VND3.7 trillion to the overall value.

In the VN30 basket, selling pressure led to a decline in Vingroup shares, with VRE falling by 1.29% to VND19,150 per share. On the other hand, MWG extended its gain to 2.1%, closing at VND68,200. CTG and SSI remained the top gainers in the VN30 basket but only increased by 2.15% to VND35,700 and 2.14% to VND33,400, respectively.

On the northern exchange, the HNX-Index inched up by 0.66 point, or 0.28%, against the previous session, to 232.95 points, with 78 advancers and 75 decliners. The total trading volume reached 65.9 million shares worth VND1.13 trillion.
