HCMC – Viettel Post Joint Stock Corporation (HOSE: VTP) said it will pay a 2024 cash dividend at 10.81%, meaning shareholders will get VND1,081 for every share held.
The company will finalize the list of shareholders eligible for the 2024 dividend on October 6, with payment scheduled for October 22. With nearly 121.8 million outstanding shares, the payment will total more than VND131.6 billion.
Viettel, which owns 60.84% of Viettel Post, is expected to receive nearly VND80.1 billion.
In the first half of 2025, the firm reported revenue of over VND10 trillion, up 4% year-on-year, and net profit after tax of VND166.3 billion, up 14.3%.
Viettel Post has targeted 2025 revenue of VND21 trillion and net profit of VND404.9 billion. By June, it had achieved 41.1% of its profit goal.
As of June 30, total assets stood at VND6.53 trillion, up 2.7% from the start of the year, while liabilities rose slightly to nearly VND4.86 trillion.
Closing the trading session today, September 22, VTP extended the losing streak to the third straight session with a 1.19% decrease to VND99,800, with a trading volume of 245,100 shares.
The VN-Index fell 24.17 points, or 1.46%, to 1,634.45 on Monday, with decliners outnumbering gainers on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange at 262 to 72.
Trading volume rose 30% from the previous session to 1.21 billion shares, while value increased 22.7% to VND35.8 trillion. Block trade contributed 75 million shares worth VND2.29 trillion.
The VN30-Index, which tracks the 30 largest-cap stocks, plunged 39.93 points, or 2.15%, to 1,819.6 as 27 bluechips delclined. HDBank lost 4%, VietinBank fell 3.7%, FPT dropped 3.2%, and VPBank shed 3%. Steelmaker HPG and developer VIC both slipped 2.9%. BIDV gained 3% and TPBank added 2.2%, while LPB closed flat.
HVN bucked the downtrend to finish up 4.7% to VND37,500 with 3.5 million shares traded, including 1.9 million bought by foreign investors. Several mid-cap real estate stocks also advanced, including PDR, DIG, HDG, TCH and KBC.
Steel stocks led decliners, down nearly 2% on average. HPG dropped 2.9% and NKG plunged to its floor price. Securities firms also fell, with SSI, VND, VCI and BSI down more than 2%. VIX bucked the trend, rising 2.7%.
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index dipped 2.01 points, or 0.73%, to 274.23, with 53 winners and 95 losers. Trading volume on the northern bourse reached 112.3 million shares valued at VND2.5 trillion.
