Viettel Post to pay 15% cash dividend for 2023

HCMC – Viettel Post Joint Stock Corporation (HOSE: VTP) has announced it will distribute nearly VND183 billion in cash dividend to existing shareholders at a ratio of 15%.

Shareholders will receive VND1,500 for each share held. The list of shareholders eligible for the 2023 dividend will be finalized in September, and the payment will be made in October.

With nearly 122 million shares outstanding, Viettel Post is expected to spend around VND183 billion to pay the dividend to shareholders.

Viettel, the largest shareholder with a 60.84% stake in VTP, will receive VND111 billion in dividend this round.

Recently, the firm announced the establishment of a new subsidiary in Laos with total capital of over VND136 billion.

Closing the trading session today, September 13, VTP remained unchanged at VND73,600, with 267,400 shares changing hands.

On the southern exchange, the VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange slid by 4.64 points, or 0.37%, against the previous session, at 1,251.71 points, with 163 winners and 210 losers.

Around 482 million shares worth VND11.2 trillion were transacted, up by 11% in volume and 7% in value compared to yesterday’s session. Block deal transactions contributed VND2.01 trillion to the overall value.

The VN30 basket saw only three stocks rising by more than 1%, namely SAB, SSB and VRE, while two stocks GAS and VNM experienced the steepest declines in the group by over 2.3%.

DXG was the most actively traded stock on the exchange, with more than 14.5 million shares changing hands.

On the northern exchange, the HNX-Index inched up by 0.51 point, or 0.22%, against the day earlier, at 232.42 points, with 80 stocks rising and 61 others declining. Total trading volume reached 43.4 million shares valued at VND648.1 billion.
