HCMC – VinFast has launched its global electric vehicle (EV) brand and unveiled two electric SUV models, VF e35 and VF e36, at the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show in the United States.
The launch represents an important milestone in its global expansion plan of driving the movement of the global smart electric vehicle revolution and realizing the future of mobility for a green planet and sustainable development.
By debuting the global electric vehicle brand at the ongoing Los Angeles Auto Show, VinFast has established Southeast Asia as a beacon on the global automotive map.
“VinFast believes that the future of mobility will be one of smart electric cars that are highly personalized and integrated with technologies that benefit life and our environment,” says Michael Lohscheller, CEO of VinFast Global.
At the event, VinFast introduced the VF e35 and VF e36, two electric SUV models in the respective D- and E-sized categories.
These two EVs integrate advanced driver-assistance systems, featuring collision warning, driver monitoring and fully automated parking, and are equipped with smart infotainment and in-car control features such as a voice assistant, a virtual assistant and e-commerce services.
The VF e35 and VF e36 stem from VinFast’s strategic investment in its internal R&D system, global collaboration with technology companies and innovative start-ups and the company’s partners in the automotive industry over the years.
VinFast’s electric SUV models will be available for pre-order in the first half of 2022, with deliveries planned to begin in the fourth quarter of the same year.
The official introduction of the VinFast EV brand, as well as the launch of two electric vehicle models at the 2021 LA Auto show, is the first step in VinFast’s strategy to conquer the international market, with plans to extend to Canada and Europe in the coming months.
First launched in 1907, the Los Angeles Auto Show is the first major North American auto show of the season annually and is widely recognized as one of the most influential shows globally. The 2021 auto show is open to the public from November 19 to 28 (local time).
