HCMC – Vingroup and Techcombank have expressed interest in investing in the Gia Nghia-Chon Thanh Expressway project, connecting Dak Nong and Binh Phuoc provinces, through a public-private partnership (PPP) model.

Gia Nghia-Chon Thanh as part of the western North-South Expressway will be a standard four-lane expressway.

Earlier, there was a proposal for making Gia Nghia-Chon Thanh a six-lane expressway at a total cost of around VND34 trillion, with over VND21 trillion sourced from the State budget.

Given the projected demand for transportation in the project area and the financial arrangement ability, Binh Phuoc Province proposed a standard four-lane expressway.

Construction work is scheduled to begin early next year, with completion expected by the end of 2026.

Gia Nghia-Chon Thanh Expressway has a total length of 128.8 kilometers.

The first phase of the project will require an estimated VND25.54 trillion, including VND12.77 trillion from Government funding, which will consist of both central and local budgets.
