Vinpearl CEO steps down

HCMC – Dang Thanh Thuy has submitted his resignation from the positions of Chief Executive Officer and legal representative of Vinpearl, reported local media.

After stepping down as CEO as from December 25, Thuy remains a member of Vinpearl’s Board of Directors.

Vinpearl’s executive management now comprises four members: Vo Thi Phuong Thao, Nguyen Dinh Nga, Vu Thi Kim Huong, and Do My Huong.

Over 21 years, he has held various leadership positions at Vinpearl, notably serving as chairman from January 2023 to March 2024.

In addition to his role at Vinpearl, he is chairman of Nha Trang Port Joint Stock Company and a board member of Vinpearl Cua Hoi. Previously, from 2012 to 2016, he served as deputy CEO of Vingroup.

Billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong’s Vingroup currently holds an 85% stake in Vinpearl. The company is one of Vietnam’s leading tourism and hospitality brands, operating 48 facilities across 18 provinces and cities. These include 31 hotels and resorts with more than 16,000 rooms, along with theme parks, entertainment complexes, golf courses, and dining services. In 2023, Vingroup split Vinpearl into two legal entities: Ngoc Viet and Vinpearl.

In the third quarter, Vinpearl reported revenue of VND3.09 trillion and post-tax profit of VND169 billion, down 40.7% and 66.6%, respectively, from a year earlier.
