Hue City last Friday concluded Visit Vietnam Year 2025 with a grand closing ceremony, marking a milestone year for the country’s tourism sector and underscoring its push toward sustainable and cultural tourism.
The ceremony, held at Ngo Mon Square in the former imperial capital of Hue, featured large-scale artistic performances and a low-altitude fireworks display under the theme “Ancient Capital – New Horizons.”
The closing week included a series of high-profile activities, including the Hue International Tea Festival, the “Hue – Culinary Capital” International Food Festival, and a National Conference on Net Zero Tourism. Additional forums on cultural industries and sustainable development highlighted Hue’s evolving role from a historic center to a hub for green and creative tourism.
Throughout 2025, the Visit Vietnam Year program promoted the country’s tangible and intangible heritage, attracting strong domestic and international interest. Organizers said the initiative reinforced Vietnam’s image as a safe, welcoming, and culturally rich destination, ending the year on an optimistic note for the tourism industry.
