HCMC – Phu My Hung Corp and the Lawrence S. Ting Memorial Fund have awarded over VND7 billion in scholarships to disadvantaged students who excel academically and actively participate in social activities.
The 2024 scholarship awards and donation presentation ceremony took place on September 21 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in District 7, HCMC.
During the ceremony, Phu My Hung Corp and the Lawrence S. Ting Fund directly awarded 201 scholarships worth over VND2.41 billion. University students received scholarships worth VND14 million per year each while high school students were granted VND6.3 million per year each.
Additionally, through the Lawrence S. Ting Fund, Phu My Hung Corp donated more than VND4.95 billion to charities, organizations and scholarship associations across all 63 provinces and cities nationwide. These organizations will distribute scholarships to students facing adversity, children with disabilities, ethnic minority students, and orphans.
Phu My Hung Corp also announced nearly VND800 million in additional funds to support educational and social charity activities in 2024.
