HCMC – Global growth investor Warburg Pincus has announced a major investment in Xuyen A, a private tertiary general hospital group in Vietnam.
The strategic move has demonstrated Warburg Pincus’ focus on the rapidly growing healthcare sector of the Southeast Asian country, the U.S.-based business said in a statement.
Saurabh Agarwal, managing director and head of Southeast Asia Private Equity at Warburg Pincus, said, “By leveraging our global experience in the healthcare space, we are confident we can help Xuyen A grow into a pre-eminent private hospital group in Vietnam while continuing to provide quality healthcare at affordable prices to the people of Vietnam.”
Dr. Nguyen Van Chau, founder and CEO of Xuyen A, said, “Together with Warburg Pincus, Xuyen A will continue to explore opportunities to enhance our care offering, scale up through further greenfield or brownfield development, and strengthen our medical team.”
Xuyen A, focusing on providing affordable, high-quality medical care, celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.
The group operates four large-format multi-specialty hospitals in southern Vietnam, including its flagship facility in the HCMC outlying district of Cu Chi.
