HCMC – WinCommerce, the Vietnamese operator of WinMart/WinMart+ supermarkets and minimarts, plans to launch over 700 WinMart+ stores and over 20 WinMart supermarkets from now until the end of this year, said Nguyen Van Quy, deputy general manager operations at WinMart+.
The plan is well underway on schedule. In the year to date, more than 300 new WinMart/WinMart+ facilities have been opened nationwide, he added.
Given the Covid-19 pandemic put under control and the on-going recovery of the local economy, WinCommerce is accelerating business expansion efforts after rebranding and restructuring its business.
WinCommerce, a member of Vietnam’s leading multi-sector corporation Masan Group, is also focusing on developing a multi-utility business model and franchised stores, as it anticipated that will be a trend of the retail sector in the upcoming time.
Multi-utility stores will offer optimal convenience to customers, while franchised stores are expected to make the WinMart+ brand more popular in the daily life of local consumers.
In 2022, WinCommerce will work closely with its suppliers, manufacturer partners, and growing areas in the country to develop a closed-loop supply chain, offer products to consumers in a fast manner with reasonable prices thanks to a reduction of third-party costs.
This strategy is expected to help ensure its business performance will be stable and growing.
