HCMC – Authorities have been assigned to finalize procedures for Dau Giay-Tan Phu, Tan Phu-Bao Loc, and Bao Loc-Lien Khuong expressways leading to Dalat City, so that work can begin in August.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on June 22 chaired a conference focused on eliminating makeshift housing, advancing key transport projects, and speeding up public investment disbursement for 2025, according to the Government news site.
The Ministry of Construction was tasked with completing procedures to start work on the Dau Giay-Tan Phu expressway in August. Lam Dong Province is preparing to break ground on the Tan Phu-Bao Loc and Bao Loc-Lien Khuong expressways on August 19.
Thus, in August, construction will begin on the three expressways, completing the planned Dau Giay-Lien Khuong Expressway within the national expressway network.
The Dau Giay-Tan Phu Expressway will cover about 60 kilometers, with an investment of over VND8.4 trillion. The Tan Phu-Bao Loc Expressway will run 66 kilometers and require around VND17.2 trillion, while the Bao Loc-Lien Khuong Expressway will span nearly 74 kilometers, with a projected cost of more than VND17 trillion.
Once completed, these expressways will cut travel time between HCMC and Dalat to around three hours, down from the current six to seven hours. The Bao Loc-Lien Khuong Expressway plays a key role in ensuring seamless connectivity with the Dau Giay-Tan Phu and Tan Phu-Bao Loc expressways.
The prime minister also requested the Ministry of Finance to instruct Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC) to expedite the preparation of the feasibility study for the HCMC-Long Thanh Expressway expansion project and complete its approval by July 2025.
HCMC and Tay Ninh Province were tasked with accelerating the preparation and approval of the feasibility study for the HCMC-Moc Bai Expressway project, aiming to complete it by the end of June.
The provinces of Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Tuyen Quang, Ha Giang, and Dak Lak were assigned to accelerate progress on key expressway projects, including HCMC Beltway No. 3, Bien Hoa-Vung Tau, Tuyen Quang-Ha Giang, and Khanh Hoa-Buon Ma Thuot.
