HCMC – Binh Duong Province has broken ground on a VND11.74-trillion section of HCMC Beltway No.4.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony on June 18, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh said Beltway No.4 is a key national infrastructure project that will connect urban, industrial, and service centers across the southeastern region.

The Binh Duong section of the beltway runs from Thu Bien Bridge to the Saigon River and passes through Tan Uyen City, Ben Cat City, and Bac Tan Uyen District.

The project is being implemented under a build-operate-transfer (BOT) contract, with a total investment of VND11.7 trillion, and a construction period of 26 months from the effective date of the project contract.

The first phase of the section will feature four lanes and a continuous emergency stopping lane, with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour.

The winning bidder for the project is a consortium comprising Becamex IDC, Becamex Infrastructure Development JSC (Becamex IJC), and Deo Ca Group.

In addition to breaking ground on the beltway, Binh Duong inaugurated several key intra-provincial roads, including DT743, DT746, and DT747B.

These arterial roads connect Thu Dau Mot, Di An, and Tan Uyen with major industrial zones such as VSIP, Song Than, Bau Bang, and Phu Giao, helping ease traffic congestion, boost transport capacity, and promote urban and commercial development.
