HCMC – A newly released global talent barometer by ManpowerGroup shows that 35% of surveyed workers, including 47% of young professionals, are likely to change jobs within the next six months.
The Global Talent Barometer 2024, based on data from over 12,000 workers across 16 countries and territories, sheds light on employee well-being, job satisfaction, and confidence in an evolving workforce landscape.
The report highlights that only 63% of workers trust their managers regarding career development opportunities. Remote work, once seen as a key contributor to work-life balance, is losing its appeal; 41% of remote workers are considering job changes.
While 87% of employees feel confident in their skills, 34% believe their current workplace limits their career growth due to a lack of opportunities.
Additionally, 59% of workers reported receiving no skills training in the past six months, and only 57% see clear pathways for promotion or internal mobility, underscoring a disconnect between skill development and career progression.
Stress levels are also a concern, with 49% of workers experiencing daily stress. This poses a significant challenge for businesses striving to improve employee well-being and retain talent.
On a positive note, 71% of employees feel aligned with their company’s culture, vision, and values. However, work-life balance remains a key area for improvement, as only 65% of employees feel fully supported in this regard.
