HCMC – An additional batch of 400,000 doses of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine donated by Japan will arrive at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport in HCMC tomorrow, September 25.

The new vaccine donation is aimed at helping the country prevent the spread of Covid-19 and bring the pandemic under control, the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam said today.

Since June, the Japanese Government has donated some 3.18 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines to Vietnam.

The additional doses will raise Japan’s total donation to Vietnam to over 3.5 million, the local media reported.

Earlier on September 14, Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi announced that Japan would present an additional 1.3 million AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine doses to its Asian neighbors, including 400,000 doses to Vietnam.
