The KOICA office will aid the city with the “Building a smart tourism and culture Hue City” project, which will be conducted in five years from 2021 to 2025.

The project has been deployed to put into action the projects of adjusting the Hue City general plan and detailing a plan for the two banks of the Huong River and a pilot project sponsored by the Government of South Korea since 2011.

It will develop the Da Vien cultural complex, improve the smart lighting and surveillance camera system and scale up the capacity of public administration in tourism and urban project management.

The “Building a smart tourism and culture Hue City” project will require US$14.8 million in investment, with US$13 million financed by KOICA and the rest sourced from the province’s reciprocal capital.
