To mark Vietnam’s post-pandemic tourism recovery with positive signs, Sao Mai Group has decided to develop a tourism complex as a way to demonstrate the investor’s determination to strengthen its foothold in a land of civilizations spanning thousands of years, a place where the Le Dynasty set up the capital over the course of 600 years.
Sao Mai Group this morning, June 10, began work on the Sao Mai Thanh Hoa resort project located in Tho Lam Commune, Tho Xuan District, Thanh Hoa Province in north-central Vietnam. The project requires VND1.4 trillion of investment, covering an area of nearly 54 hectares.
Nguyen Van Thi, member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and first vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, along with many incumbent and former officials in the province attended the groundbreaking ceremony, and sent their congratulations to the investor.
The Sao Mai Thanh Hoa Resort project is 11 kilometers from Tho Xuan Airport and some 1.5 kilometers from Lam Kinh, a national historical site in Thanh Hoa. The project will be implemented in two phases with such prominent facilities as Tinh tam (Peace of mind) Hill, Pearl Island, Diamond Island, a villa area, a convention center, and underground, mountain, and floating bungalows, among others. Of them, the Pearl Island, an entertainment site, will be separated from other zones.
The resort project, once in place, will offer guests exciting experiences in various topics, while its shopping mall, entertainment zone, and wellness center will have their own special highlights.
At the Mao Sui Lake, the investor will build an overflow drainage system to help keep the water level in the lake balanced. Also, the lake is expected to be a stunning check-in spot.
During a survey before developing the project, the investor discovered that this area has an underground spring bubbling up from the bottom of a lake at the Diamond Island, so the local people call it ‘Mao Sui’ Lake.
Possessing an intact, beautiful landscape, the resort project will contribute to preserving and promoting unique cultural values. The project is also expected to make significant contributions to the local tourism industry.
Unlike previous investors who only focused on developing sea tourism, Sao Mai Group builds this resort to realize its goal of exploring and promoting forest, hill and mountain tourism. Concurrently, it wants to increase the value of cultural and historical relics in Tho Xuan District.
Recently, Thanh Hoa Province has had a young, dynamic, and creative leadership team with the mission to maintain the province’s socio-economic growth. This is an advantage that attracts many major investors to pour investment into this north-central province.
The Sao Mai Thanh Hoa Resort and the Tho Xuan International Airport are expected to help the locality to woo many more domestic and foreign tourists, contributing to the robust growth of the Lam Son-Sao Vang urban area in the years to come.
After a long time struggling with many administrative procedures due to the pandemic, the project finally met the conditions to get off the ground. The investor enjoyed a high consensus of the provincial Party Committee and local people.
