C.T Group has inked a comprehensive partnership agreement with the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City to research new technology and train qualified human resources.
The partnership aims to realize the two parties’ vision to nurture talented human resources for the country. C.T Group and the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) will join forces to establish a long-term program to develop HR, research management, and marketing projects as well as study new technology applications in various fields. At the same time, the two parties agreed to cooperate in delivering real estate brokerage certificates, practical training programs, scholarships and internship opportunities for students.
At the signing ceremony, Tran Kim Chung, chairman of C.T Group, said that the group is developing fintech companies related to B2B lending, proptech and tokenization for property projects. Among them, tokenization is a revolution in the property market as well as other industries. The group is a member of the Global Blockchain Association. Meanwhile, it will also step into the cell technology, which specializes in stem cell research and treatment of serious diseases.
He added that the group also owns a flytech company which is in partnership with a number of domestic and foreign partners to develop unmanned aerial vehicles. He stated that researching and developing the technologies will help C.T Group gain disruptive innovation in the digital economy. Therefore, the group places great importance on the cooperation and joint research with universities, including UEH.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong, chairman of the university council, said, “Technology development is a fundamental step to accelerate the growth of C.T Group. At the same time, the university is also promoting the application of IT in its curriculum and majors. UEH aims to become a multidisciplinary university in the region and looks forward to the support and companionship with CT Group in training, researching, and consulting our student startups.”
On the same note, Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh, principal of the university, said, “At the 44th anniversary of the university, UEH launched the program titled Connecting Community and Spreading Knowledge with our partners to create synergy of resources and spread knowledge to the community. Among them, we pay great attention to expanding cooperation with corporations and businesses. We believe that the comprehensive cooperation with C.T Group, along with our restructuring activities, will tighten the partnership between the two sides towards sustainable development.”
Another key focus area is training and granting real estate brokerage certificates. According to Tran Kim Chung, this is an urgent issue. However, there are hundreds of thousands of real estate brokers in Vietnam who lack formal training by a certifying organization, leading to wide-ranging troubles with service quality and misrepresentation.
“Vietnam needs to organize more formal training programs for real estate brokers. We believe that the UEH can fulfil this role with the help of C.T Group. Currently, we are also implementing a training program for 10,000 sales staff to broaden their career prospects,” he added.
As the guest of honor to the event, Le Hoang Chau, chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Real Estate Association (HoREA), shared: “Vietnam has about 300,000 people operating in the field of real estate brokerage, only 28,000 of whom have brokerage certificates. Training activities are not controlled strictly enough.”
He added that homebuyers currently do not request brokers to show their certificates. According to the Law on Real Estate Business, a brokerage organization only needs to have two people with practice certificates to establish a company. This gap has given rise to several scams to cheat homebuyers. Therefore, formal training can greatly reduce damage to society.
“I really hope that with the support from C.T Group, UEH will be able to do a good job of teaching and granting certificates. HoREA will submit a proposal to legally require all real estate brokers to be certified. We hope C.T Group and other developers will work with the association to provide more information to the Ministry of Construction to fulfil this goal,” he emphasised.
In addition to training, C.T Group and UEF will also cooperate in connecting training with practice, nurturing a startup ecosystem, improving HR, developing international teams, attracting talents, promoting brand communications, and sharing messages and images.
