HCMC – Huawei Vietnam has donated educational technology equipment to the northern mountainous provinces of Phu Tho and Bac Kan to help these remote areas in Vietnam as a way to give back to the community.
Fifty-four laptops and many chairs were handed over to Tien Cat Primary School in Phu Tho Province, while the firm gave 100 tablets to the Bac Kan Department of Education and Training.
“Primary education plays an extremely important role in talent development for the country and society. The concentration on fostering students’ informatics knowledge at the elementary stage is an accurate direction as we are entering the digital age,” said Fang Yu, deputy director of Huawei Vietnam’s Corporate Affairs.
Supporting education is one of the sustainable contributions to society, so Huawei Vietnam has implemented many programs to benefit schools and students.
The firm has also provided solar power to two new kindergartens in Muong Ang District in Dien Bien Province.
As a leading global information and communications technology solutions provider, Huawei prioritizes its mission in developing talents. During its 25-year presence in Vietnam, Huawei has been sponsoring education, cooperating with universities and offering long-term human resource training programs such as the Seeds for the Future and Huawei ICT Academy.
Besides, Huawei is interested in seeking and developing talent in remote areas, helping them with full conditions in learning the latest information technology knowledge and experiences.
