HCMC – The severe and lingering outbreak of Covid-19 has turned HCMC into a huge locked-down zone since late April. Local residents must strictly observe the stay-at-home order. Yet they desperately need food.

To help city dwellers buy food, some buses have been turned into mobile store vehicles. The fleet of these mobile store vehicles is supposed to move around town to designated locations where they stop so that residents can buy vegetables, fruits, meats and other necessaries.

To make room for the new function, seats on the buses are removed and shelves installed as racks where commodities are displayed.

Due to more stringent social distancing measures in place, this service has been temporarily put on hold and may be resumed later.
