Senior manager to offload stake in ACL

HCMC – Tran Tuan Khanh, deputy general director of Cuu Long An Giang Fish JSC (ACL), has registered to offload his holding of over 2.37 million ACL shares, or a 4.73% stake, from May 9 to June 7.

According to the firm’s first-quarter financial statement, its net profit dived nearly 97% over the same period in 2022 to VND1.9 billion, while its sales revenue plummeted 57% year-on-year to VND139.7 billion.

By the end of March, ACL’s asset value totaled VND1,566 billion, up 5.74% compared to the beginning of the year. Inventory accounted for nearly 68% of the total value, at VND1,063 billion, increasing 15.23% from the year’s start.

This year, the company looks to increase its net revenue by 11.4% over 2022 to VND1.3 trillion, while it expects pre-tax profit to plunge over 40.6% against 2022 to VND80 billion.

ACL closed the trading session today, May 8, down 1.73% against last Friday, at VND11,350 per share, and reported a matching volume of 52,100 shares.

In related stock news, the benchmark VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange gained 13.13 points, or 1.26% from the session earlier, to 1,053.44 points, with 255 winners and 135 losers.

Trade on the southern bourse picked up 19.67% in volume and 15.92% in value over the previous session at over 655.5 million shares worth around VND10.8 trillion, including more than VND1.5 trillion worth of shares traded in block deals.

Bluechips were the main driver today, with 26 stocks rising and two others dipping in the VN30 basket. The VN30-Index increased 11.26 points, or 1.08%, over the previous session, at 1,049.72 points.

Real estate stock NVL took the lead by liquidity on the Hochiminh exchange today, with more than 38.2 million shares changing hands, but finished the day down 4.4% to VND12,950 per share.

On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index inched up 3.12 points, or 1.5%, from last Friday, to 210.92 points, with 129 advancers and 61 decliners.

There were over 111.6 million shares valued at around VND1.4 trillion changing hands on the northern bourse today.
