HCMC – Thanh Thanh Cong – Bien Hoa JSC, which trades its SBT shares on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange, would issue 67.3 million shares to pay dividends for FY2019-20 and 2021-22.
According to its dividend payment plan, existing shareholders will get 10 new shares for every 100 shares held, hence a dividend of 10%.
Once that is done, the company’s chartered capital would increase to VND7,621 billion from VND6,948 billion.
Regarding its business performance, the firm reported first-quarter revenue of VND5.7 trillion, up a staggering 62% year-on-year. However, its net profit dropped 27% from the same period last year to VND149 billion.
Closing the trading session today, June 13, SBT inched down 0.59% to VND16,850 per share, with a matching volume of nearly 4.2 million shares.
With 233 stocks rising and 145 others dipping, the VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange maintained its winning streak for the third consecutive session with a gain of 6.44 points, or 0.58% from yesterday’s session, at 1,122.46 points.
There were 943.5 million shares worth more than VND18.4 trillion traded on the southern bourse, up 5% in volume and 12% in value day-on-day. Of the total, 73 million shares valued at more than VND2.1 trillion were transacted in block deals.
Bluechips VHM and VCB were the main driver today as they contributed over 3.2 positive points to the main index, with respective increases of 2.3% and 1.5%.
In the VN30 basket, HDB, BVH, VIC, GVR, VRE and BID rose between 1% and 1.5%, while VNM, CTG, VPB, FPT, BCM, and TCB edged down from 0.4% to 1.4%. The VN30-Index added 5.67 points, or 0.52% day-on-day, to 1,115.39 points, with 16 winners and 10 losers.
Developer NVL continued to steal the limelight as it shot up to its daily upper limit of VND15,600 per share. NVL took the lead by liquidity on the southern market with a matching volume of over 77.6 million shares.
Steel stocks also attracted cash flow today. HSG was the second most traded stock on the bourse with 36.9 million shares. HSG and NKG saw 28.8 million shares and 21.3 million shares changing hands, respectively.
Advancers outnumbered decliners by 137 to 64 on the northern bourse, helping the HNX-Index of the Hanoi Stock Exchange improve 0.88 points, or 0.38%, from the previous session, to 230.25 points.
The northern market saw 118 million shares valued at nearly VND1.8 trillion changing hands.
