HCMC – The total number of vessels going through Vietnam’s seaports exceeded 59,300 during the first seven months of the year, down 3% compared to the same period in 2022, according to the Vietnam Maritime Administration.
Of the total, foreign vessels accounted for nearly 27,000, decreasing 5% year-on-year, while domestic ships dropped 2% to 32,365.
Although the number of foreign vessels using Vietnamese ports declined, the quantity of inland and coastal waterway vessels increased by 5% at 206,300 vessels.
