Hoang Ha Label Co., Limited (HHLC-QLM Vietnam) recently inaugurated its new factory in the Vinh Loc Industrial Zone, Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City. With a total investment of over US$15 million in the new factory covering an area of 6,000m2, the company is making significant strides in label and packaging technology to meet the increasingly diverse demands of the Vietnamese and broader Asia-Pacific markets.
The newly designed factory consists of several dedicated areas focused on different printing technologies, including flexographic label printing, offset printing for soft folded cartons, digital printing technology for both labels and sheets as well as the newly installed DIGITAL flexible packaging printing and finishing equipment. The investment in upgraded equipment and expanded production lines provides enhanced options and productivity for the label and packaging market, particularly in the emerging flexible packaging area.
The event also marked the 50th anniversary of the QLM Label Makers Group – the parent company of HHLC-QLM Vietnam, headquartered in Brisbane, Australia – and the 25th anniversary of Hoang Ha Label Co., – Vietnam’s oldest privately owned label manufacturer. The occasion included the leadership team from the QLM Group as well and HHLC-QLM Vietnam staff and 200 invited guests to reflect on the group’s journey and have an opportunity to experience the latest state-of-the-art equipment and technologies in operation.
Speaking at the event, Mr Dang Tan Khoa, Managing Director of HHLC-QLM Vietnam, shared, “From a modest scale with a few 1-2 color flatbed machines, HHLC-QLM Vietnam has expanded the factory to 6,000m2, offering diverse services to provide comprehensive labeling and packaging solutions for domestic and international partners. Over the years, we have consistently prioritized technology as the focal point of our development. We are committed to continually upgrading technology and technical standards to adapt to the market’s diverse needs.”
In 1997, HHLC-QLM Vietnam pioneered applying six-color Letterpress printing in Vietnam. In 2014, the company adopted Vietnam’s first HP Indigo Digital Label press and now in 2023, HHLC-QLM Vietnam has further invested in HP Indigo Digital Flexible Packaging – installing Vietnam’s first HP 20000 PRESS, intending to expand its flexible packaging services, including stand up pouch, three-side seal, center seal, sachets, and box bottom bags.
In addition to technology investments, HHLC-QLM Vietnam focuses on enhancing technical standards and training its team, forming a comprehensive support network to meet the needs of label printing, product packaging, thermal label printers, and color printing in the food, beverage, wine, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and fast-moving consumer goods industries.
