HCMC – As the new year holiday approaches, different weather patterns are expected in the northern, southern, and central regions of Vietnam. While the north and south will experience dry and sunny weather, the central region is forecasted to have rain.

According to the National Centre for Hydrometeorological Forecasting, the northern region will still be influenced by a weakening cold air mass, resulting in low air moisture levels below 60%. As a result, dry and sunny weather is expected during the daytime, with foggy conditions at nighttime. The region may also experience high levels of air pollution in the coming days.

In Hanoi, temperatures are predicted to range from 18 to 27 degrees Celsius on December 31. On the first day of the new year, temperatures are expected to drop, with daytime temperatures ranging from 24 to 25 degrees Celsius and nighttime temperatures getting lower at 16 to 18 degrees Celsius.

In the central region, from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh Province, the weather will be similar to the north, with the lowest temperatures ranging from 15 to 18 degrees Celsius and the highest temperatures ranging from 24 to 25 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, from Quang Binh to Thua-Thien Hue, temperatures will range from 18 degrees Celsius at the lowest to 25 degrees Celsius at the highest.

Danang and Quang Ngai will have nighttime temperatures ranging from 19 to 22 degrees Celsius and daytime temperatures between 26 to 28 degrees Celsius.

The southern region can expect sunny days with temperatures ranging from 30 to 33 degrees Celsius.

The Central Highlands will experience less rain during the upcoming holiday, with the lowest temperatures ranging from 17 to 20 degrees Celsius and the highest temperatures between 27 to 30 degrees Celsius.
