HCMC – The flower festival in Phu My Hung urban area in District 7 has drawn large crowds of revelers in anticipation of the 2024 Lunar New Year (Tet), following its official opening over the weekend.
Themed “Spring of Gathering,” the flower festival commenced on February 3, the 24th day of the final lunar month, alongside Crescent Lake in Phu My Hung, District 7, HCMC.
The festival showcases a delightful array of dragon-themed miniatures, floral and rice gardens, and calligraphy displays, honoring Vietnamese culture and symbolizing unity and reunion for visitors during this festive season.
The festival also boasts a Tet Flower Market, running from February 2 to 9, corresponding to the 23rd to the 30th day of the last lunar month. The market features 145 stalls offering flowers and ornamental plants from gardens in HCMC and the Mekong Delta provinces to cater to the residents of Phu My Hung and the southern part of the city.
The flower festival is scheduled to continue until February 13, or the 4th day of the Lunar New Year.
