HCMC – A collision between two inter-provincial passenger buses occurred in the wee hours of April 30 in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai, resulting in one death and multiple injuries.
The accident took place at the intersection of National Highway 25 and Ho Chi Minh Road in Chu Se District at around 3:00 a.m.
Involved in the collision were a bus with license plate 51B-294.89 traveling from Hanoi City to Krong Pa District, Gia Lai Province, and a bus with license plate 47B-020.26 en route from Danang City to Daklak Province. Home security camera footage posted on local news websites showed the two buses were traveling on two different roads at high speeds when they entered the intersection.
The collision caused severe damage to the fronts of the buses.
One person was dead at the scene of the accident, and at least two injured people are in critical condition and receiving treatment at a local hospital. Multiple passengers were also treated for minor injuries.
Local authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
