HCMC – Fast Retailing Group, which owns the UNIQLO brand, has announced the list of nine Vietnamese students who will receive full scholarships from the Fast Retailing Foundation this year.
The nine outstanding students, selected from eight high schools across the country, will have the opportunity to study at leading universities in Japan, such as Kyoto, Nagoya, and Kyushu.
The Fast Retailing Foundation’s full scholarship covers expenses including tuition fees, first-year living expenses, living costs such as accommodation, and overseas accident insurance.
Speaking at the scholarship award ceremony, Noriaki Koyama, senior chief executive officer of Fast Retailing and senior general secretary of the Fast Retailing Foundation, said, “I hope that with practical support, the Fast Retailing Scholarship Foundation will create conditions and provide additional motivation for outstanding students with aspirations and passions to develop their talent.”
The scholarships for the Bachelor’s Program in English at 12 universities in Japan cover tuition fees, living expenses, and accommodation costs throughout the Bachelor’s Program, with up to 10 students receiving support every year.
In 2023, the Fast Retailing Foundation granted scholarships to six prominent students who are currently studying at Kyoto, Tohoku, Nagoya, and Keio universities.
