Must read

Thien Mu Pagoda, also known as Linh Mu Pagoda, was constructed during the reign of Lord Nguyen Hoang in 1601. It is located on the northern bank of the Huong River, approximately five kilometers from downtown Hue City.

The pagoda’s setting is picturesque, with the winding Huong River in front and the Truong Son mountain range in the distance. Behind the pagoda lies a lake and a low hill, creating a unique and tranquil environment.

From a distance, the pagoda appears like a giant turtle carrying an ancient structure on its back, sipping from the Huong River.

Thien Mu Pagoda has been restored eight times between 1665 and 1957, yet it still retains its majestic and splendid beauty.

As the oldest pagoda in Hue, it was once listed among the 20 beautiful landscapes of the ancient Imperial City and is now a must-visit tourist destination.
