HCMC – The land price lists established by cities and provinces under the 2013 Land Law will remain in effect until December 31, 2025, according to a new announcement by the Ministry of Finance.
The ministry has issued an official letter to relevant ministries and local governments, providing guidance on implementing the 2024 Land Law concerning the management and usage of public assets.
The 2024 Land Law, which took effect on August 1, permits local governments to extend the current land price lists until the end of next year. A new land price list will be issued starting January 1, 2026.
City and provincial governments can adjust their current land price lists, if needed, to align with actual market prices in accordance with the new law.
To support the enforcement of the 2024 Land Law, the Ministry of Finance has also submitted the drafts of two government decrees: Decree 103, which details land rent and lease prices, and Decree 104, which stipulates regulations for land banks.
