HCMC – The Nhon Trach Bridge, a key component of the HCMC Beltway No. 3 project, is now 80% complete and is expected to be finished by April 30 next year, four months ahead of schedule.
The My Thuan Project Management Board, under the Ministry of Transport, said that the main sections of the bridge are slated to be connected by September this year.
The Nhon Trach Bridge is part of the Tan Van-Nhon Trach section of the HCMC Beltway No. 3 project. Once completed, the bridge will significantly reduce travel time between Nhon Trach District in Dong Nai Province and HCMC or Binh Duong.
Construction of the bridge began in September 2022, with a total investment of nearly VND1.62 trillion. The project is being executed by Kumho E&C, a South Korean construction firm.
The 8.2-kilometer-long Tan Van-Nhon Trach road section, which requires a total investment of VND6.96 trillion, will connect Provincial Road 25B in Dong Nai with the HCMC-Long Thanh-Dau Giay Expressway.
The project is funded by Official Development Assistance (ODA) loans from the South Korean government, with additional counterpart funding from the Vietnamese Government.
