Vinamilk to pay cash dividend at 24.5%

HCMC – Vinamilk, with its VNM shares listed on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange, has announced to pay a 24.5% cash dividend for 2023 and the first interim dividend for 2024.

The dairy processing company will pay a final dividend for 2023 at a rate of 9.5% and an interim dividend for the first half of 2024 at 15%.

It is expected that the list of shareholders eligible for the dividends will be finalized on September 25, with payment scheduled for October 24.

With over two billion outstanding shares, the firm needs to spend more than VND4.9 trillion for the dividend payments. Of this amount, the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC), which holds 36% of the shares, will receive about VND1.76 trillion.

Regarding its business performance, Vinamilk reported net revenue of VND16,656 billion in the third quarter, up by nearly 10% over the same period last year. This is the highest figure ever recorded, surpassing the previous record of VND16,194 billion set in the third quarter of 2021.

Closing the trading session today, August 23, VNM rose by 0.94% day-on-day to VND74,900 per share, with more than 3.3 million shares transacted.

On the southern bourse, the VN-Index added 2.54 points, or 0.2%, against the previous session, at 1,285.32 points, with 172 winners and 212 losers.

There were nearly 724.9 million shares worth VND16.8 trillion traded on bourse, up by 5.5% in volume and 7.9% in value against yesterday’s session. Block deal transactions accounted for VND2.58 trillion.

The VN30 Index closed up by nearly 2.6 points, with 13 stocks gaining and 8 declining. GVR was the biggest driver as it finished the session up 1.9%, hitting its highest price of the day at VND33,600.

NVL took the lead by liquidity, with around 28.5 million shares changing hands.

On the northern exchange, the HNX-Index added 1.6 points, or 0.67%, against the day earlier at 240.07 points. The trade volume reached 64.92 million shares, valued at VND1.2 trillion.
